I missed my Microbrute so much I got this! I bought a Microbrute off Amazon a few years ago, and loved it. It was the first synth I had that was completely hands-on; Minimal programming (and that was just on the sequencer), and zero menu diving.Early this year, I bought a motorcycle and decided to sell off a large swath of my huge music gear collection to pay for the bike. Excellent. First, let’s get physical. All knobs and dials feel solid and professional, with good resistance and grip. The unit looks great, and has decently weighted keys, considering its size and price.Sound wise, it’s the best thing in its price range. It is fully analogue, so remember that the oscillators need a few minutes to warm up. And you’ll need to use the fine tune knob. But it’s worth the fuss, because you’ll get that classic analogue synth sound with just enough glitch to keep…
Truly awesome. Out of the box it takes a little bit to warm up. After turning it on the first time, the circuits aren’t going to be ready to work together completely for some reason in some cases. Mine popped, then all audio went off as I moved around the panel. I thought it might have overloaded and became worried. I turned it off, gave it a few minutes, then powered it back on and waited; the circuit was finally ready. Amazing sound. I’ve wanted something that sounded like this for eons…
