WARNING – Not safe for nitrocellulose finishes! There is a small warning in the fine print of the packaging that warns that this product is not safe for guitars with nitrocellulose finishes, which my Gibson has. After researching it, I found that the foam rubber on the hanger will react with the finish on the guitar causing the finish to soften and turn black. Great product, warning for Les Paul owners This product is well made and easy to install. I am mounting a heavy guitar and it feels pretty solid.Les Paul owners should look at these pictures. The guitar fits a bit tight against the wall due to the angle the neck comes off the body. I had the neck holder as loose as I’m willing to go and it was still putting inward pressure against the fretboard. This is all because the headstock is against the wall (picture 2).
