Much cheaper than a Hohner I wanted a new Echo Harp from Hohner, but they are hard to find and rather expensive. I saw this listed for 14.95 and had nothing to lose by trying it. No real surprise that is a Chinese copy of the Hohner model and has Mandarin writing on it, but I have to say for the money, it is quite a nice instrument to have and play. An absolute winner unbeatable at the price. A very nicely made instrument, well packaged. It has a clear, powerful tone to it. Although easy to play it does seem to require a fair amount of air volume, not pressure, it responds easily. I’m still breaking it in gently I suspect it will become less demanding of air after a time, tried a few tentative bends which isn’t what tremolo harmonicas usually take kindly to and it seemed quite happy to do it.
