Akai Professional Rhythm Wolf | True Analog Drum Machine and Bass Synthesizer
The Akai Professional Rhythm Wolf combines a drum machine, bass synthesizer, and step sequencer into one rugged device with a fierce, 100 percent analog signal path.
Take the beat off the leash with tweakable kick, snare, open and closed hi-hat, and accent percussion sounds. Use the oscillator with selectable waveforms and analog filter to create bass sequences that squelch and growl. Gate Trigger In/Out, USB MIDI, and 5-pin MIDI In/Out enable Rhythm Wolf to integrate with hardware synthesizers, sound modules, DAWs, and more.

A FUN AND USEFUL DRUM MACHINE, A GREAT VALUE This is a really fun drum machine. It uses synthesis to create the sounds. It’s easy to program, compact and sounds good. At $149 it’s a great deal. I love the easy to use “tap tempo” button.I have over a dozen drum machines in my warehouse of gear but this one has earned a regular place on the studio floor because it’s so easy to create a pattern. I use it to show our drummer what tempo to play at and to do demos of rhythm patterns. At this price I expect that they are…
Great Machine If Pitch Doesn’t Matter To You I received it last night, I’m returning it this morning. The problem is the bass synth, it simply will not stay in tune. I have many other pieces of analog kit, I’m used to having to warm them up and I’m used to having to tune them because analog synths always drift a little bit. This thing is way beyond that. Out of the box, it was more than four semitones flat. I downloaded the tuning utility and had to turn the pot almost all the way to the left to get it in tune. It’s now almost two hour…
