7-inch “Thunder” Spun Aluminum Cigar Box Guitar Resonator Cone

This is a spun aluminum cigar box resonator cone, manufacturered by hand in the USA by CBG craftsman and author Charles Atchison. These are high quality cones, a bit thicker in construction than some of the others available, and they really ring like a bell. This one is 7 inches in diameter (177.8mm) and fits nicely into a 6.5-inch hole (165.1mm). The overall depth is about 0.75″ (19.1mm). The size of this cone makes it ideal for use in larger-size cigar boxes (recommended width of at least 7.5 inches for best results), as well as silverware boxes, wine boxes and other such things. We also have a smaller 5.5-inch “Lightning” version of this, great for use in standard-sized cigar boxes. A resonator cone is a great way to take your cigar box guitar building to the next level, and tend to be highly sought after by buyers.
